Formation: Double circle, facing LOD; boys on inside, girls on outside, inside hands joined. 
DANCE 
Meas. (2 counts per meas,; i.e., 1-16 = 32 counts) 
l-16 Partners take 16 polka steps forward, beginning on the outside foot. This is the face-to-face and back-to-back polka step. End facing partner
17-18 Bow to partner, stand erect; clap own hands three times;
19-20 Bow to partner, stand erect; clap own hands three times;
21-22 Clap right hands with partner, clap own hands; Clap left hands with partner, clap own hands;
23-24 Strike right hand against partner's right hand as each makes a left-face turn completely around; stamp three times;
25-32 Repeat Meas. 17-24 all of the dance following the polka steps. 
SUMMARY 
1-16 Face-to-face and back-to-back to end of 16 measures.
17-18 Bow, up; clap, clap, clap, -;

Note: The slap in Scandinavian dances emphasizes the start of an action, but is ALWAYS done courteously and without roughness.
