The Lloyd Shaw Foundation

Benefits of Membership

Organization

The Lloyd Shaw Foundation is incorporated as a non-profit organization and is governed by a board of directors elected by the general membership. The men and women who serve as directors represent a great range of talents and include a number of internationally known dance leaders.

Membership

Membership in the Lloyd Shaw Foundation is open to anyone who wishes to join. Our members come from all over the United States and from many other countries.

Many are dance leaders, many are active dancers of all experience levels, but many are also those who do not dance (or no longer dance). All of them believe in the value of preserving and disseminating our great American dance heritage.

Members receive:
-The American Dance Circle, the Foundation's quarterly magazine, full of articles about dance and dance history,
-Discounts on Foundation books and recordings,
-Reduced rates to attend Foundation events.

The Foundation has the following membership categories:
...individual ($25)...couple/family ($40)...supporting ($50)
patron ($250)...life ($1000)

To become a member, send your name, address and check to:
Ruth Ann Knapp

Financial Assistance

The foundation is eager to involve a wide range of dancers in its activities. We are particularly interested in helping promising young people develop dance leadership skills. Those who cannot meet the full costs of a Lloyd Shaw Foundation Workshop, Dance Leadership Seminar or Dance Week are invited to apply for scholarship aid.
